HOW TO STOP MAILWASHER OPENING WHEN I BOOT THE PC

Hi there.

I have just upgraded an old version of Mailwasher Free to version 7.12.6 and am trying to stop the program from opening automatically each and every time I boot the computer. Can somebody please tell me how to do this? I only want to check my e-mails when I want to, not when the PC tells me to. :-)

Hi Phil

Under Settings >> General >> Application >> change the Startup to NONE, if it's already set to that, try changing it to start with windows >> Save >> set back to NONE >> Save.

Thanks but it was already set to NONE. I did what you suggested though and rebooted, but it's made no difference. have you any other ideas please?

What version of Windows do you have?

Perhaps you have a shortcut to MailWasher in your Startup folder.

See this to find your Startup folder and if MailWasher is in there, simply delete that shortcut.

Yeah that sounds likely.

If Windows 10 go CTRL + SHIFT + ESC together to open Task Manager, look at the Startup tab >> if MailWasher is listed and showing as Enabled, select that and click Disable bottom right.

If earlier, then under your Start Menu >> Programs >> Startup >> right click on the MailWasher shortcut listed >> select Delete in the menu

I'm using Windows 7 and am pleased to say that deleting the entry from the |Startup menu has done the trick. many thanks for your help here.
