The mail which I mark as Good doesn't retain its status. It loses its (green) colour.
Not terribly important perhaps, but I would like it to work properly again.
What can I do?

By any chance do you use AVG TuneUp ?
Another user recently posted that this program was deleting files in the directory MailWasher uses to store learning information.

No, I don't use that.
I do use CCleaner, but I have Mailwasher marked as one of the items not to be "cleaned"

OK. You are pressing Wash Mail when marking email as green ? MailWasher doesn't save unless that is pressed, so even if there is no email to delete, if you change a status then be sure to Wash.
Otherwise, are you losing anything else you can see, that is, does it seem like you are losing all learning, or just certain emails ?

Re: Mail classification disappears.
Thank you.
No, I wasn't pressing Wash Mail after classifying.
I suppose I used to but have forgotten.
Not surprising really. My short term memory is abandoning me - age related decrepitude. I've had my three score years and ten plus a bonus decade.
