Mails not being removed from list when checking again

I have several mail accounts. After they have been downloaded to Outlook, MW always deletes mails in the list when I next run a mail check ...except for mails received at one particular address. All accounts are POP and I checked to make sure all are using the same settings. Of course, I am deleting them manually but it is a nuisance because sometimes it gives me the impression it is a new mail.

Any ideas on how to make all mails vanish when running a fresh mail check please (unless they have yet to be downloaded)?

The problem account is setup as POP in Outlook ?

There is also a setting within Outlook to leave emails on the server after download, which could cause this too.
