I just installed Mailwasher Free on 7/1/2020, with intentions of upgrading to Pro if I like it. It installed fine, no errors. I did install the settings/preferences folder to a custom folder, and that caused the problem. It simply wouldn't launch. Each time I tried to launch/run the software, I saw the startup banner for 2-3 seconds, then POOF - gone.
I uninstalled and reinstalled keeping all default folder locations, and it works now.
I hope this helps someone else.
This is a huge bug - MailWasher should fix this.
Also, when I tried to submit feedback upon uninstall, the feedback mechanism failed. Another huge bug. See attachment.
I'm seeing this is buggy software...

Re: Mailwasher won't launch, can't submit feedback
Under Settings >> Accounts >> Outgoing >> check the SMTP settings match your email providers recommended settings. If that is setup incorrect, the feedback function is unable to send.
I'm not aware of the problem with the custom path install, will check it out.
Thanks

I'm not getting a crash when choosing a custom install and data path.
Were your custom paths on the C:\ or another networked or connected drive ?
Did the custom paths contain any characters that weren't letters or numbers ?
