Mailwasher crash at startup: Realized item re-indexed at wrong location

For some time I have been seeing Mailwasher crash at startup with the error "Realized item re-indexed at wrong location".

I've just migrated to a brand new PC, with a fresh install of everything, and it's happened for the first time today on the new PC too.

I'm running Mailwasher V7.12.38, on Windows 10.0.19041, and have .NET version 4.8.04084 (update 528372) installed.

So MailWasher won't start at all, or just the first time it tries to start it gives this error ?

I don't recall seeing this error, so it won't be a common one. In those situations we find a .NET Repair might help https://www.microsoft.com/en-nz/downloa ... x?id=30135
Takes about 10 minutes to run, probably worth a reboot after it's complete.

Failing that, in the folder C:\Users\[your username]\AppData\Roaming\Firetrust\MailWasher\ there will be a file called startup.xml >> delete this file and see if MailWasher then starts.

Failing that, try installing again, this version will install fine over the top
