Friends List and Blacklist
I've been using MW Pro for years, and I've begun to notice that mails from long term regular known senders are being marked as spam. I checked my Friends Lists, and found that it has only about half a dozen email addresses on it, despite me building it up over many years. My Blacklist is completely empty which again is not right. I have no idea why this is happening. Is there a backup database anywhere on the MW system? Where is the Friends List to be found? I have a lot of HDD backup files, - can I locate an old Friends List database somewhere and import it? But mainly - why did this happen? Many thanks.

Check under Settings >> Spam Tools >> Friends List >> Options >> uncheck any options to expire old addresses.
Do same for Blacklist under the Blacklist options tab.
For the backup, the lists are stored in a database file named MWP.db3 found in
C:\Users\[your username]\AppData\Roaming\Firetrust\MailWasher\cache
This also keeps the Recycle Bin, so restoring the file will mean recently deleted messages will be lost.
For why the list went missing, do you run any kind of cleanup software that might be looking at MailWashers files ? We've found some in the past see the 'cache' folder name and think it's safe to delete.
