I have seemingly lost the connection between email being delivered to Thunderbird and Mailwasher.
When I click on the Thunderbird button it comes up and the mail is delivered to both of the addresses I have.
But when I go back to MW the delivered mail is still listed; I can only eliminate it by marking each message for deletion and using the Wash Mail button.
As I mentioned earlier I installed MW using the User Files from my old computer.
Everything otherwise looks and performs as it did on the other laptop, except for this problem described above.
Can anyone help me?

Re: Connection to Thunderbird
Sorry forgot to reply to your earlier post.
For your POP account in ThunderBird, go into Tools >> Account Settings >> select Server Settings on the left for the POP account >> uncheck the options to Leave Messages on Server >> click OK.
For the IMAP account, this behaviour is intended as IMAP leaves all messages on the server. One option, would be to remove the account from ThunderBird and add it back as a POP account instead, that would allow you to make the same change as above.
Alternatively, if you leave it as IMAP, and also set MailWasher to use IMAP for the same account, you can then tell MailWasher to only download Unread emails in the Inbox folder from the last xx days. You can change those options in MailWasher for an IMAP account under Settings >> Accounts >> Incoming >> Advanced.
Also in ThunderBird, moving a message out of the Inbox folder into a subfolder would remove it from MailWashers view next time it checks for messages (this is for IMAP only)
