It would be great if MW would have a ticker function where after automatically checking for new mail it would put the subject line of new mail in a ticker for display on one's main monitor. Does this function already exist (I looked, but didn't find anything), or could it be planned for?

Re: Does MW have a ticker function?
Under Settings >> General >> Notifications >> you can set the balloon notification, that will do this, however when there is more than 3? emails, it then just displays a count.
You can set the balloon notification to appear for xx seconds, or until dismissed, and also mousing over the system tray icon redisplays the same.

IF, in case you would like to make a feature request for a modern & multi-functional one for the upcoming V8, you might want to refer the (horizontally scrolling) Mail Ticker from my personal e-mail client — The Bat! Pro . . . as an example (reproduced below):—
MailWasher Pro (βeta) | Windows 11 Enterprise LTSC (22H2) | The Bat! Professional (βeta) | Windows 10 Firewall Control (βeta) | ESET Endpoint Antivirus (βeta) | nVIDIA GeForce (GTX 1060) | WebView2 Runtime (118.0.2088.61) | .NET Framework (4.8.1)
