MailWasher not reading Gmail Junk folder?

I am just trying to get MailWasher to work as a new user. It is reading my InBox just fine. I am using IMAP and have "Junk" folder marked. But I am not seeing any spam messages in MailWasher that are in my junk folder. I am trying to eliminate these spam messages from even getting into my gmail junk folder.

I personally don't think that would be a good idea simply because the Gmail spam folder (you say Junk but I assume you mean spam) fills up with spam so quickly. I just checked mine and it has over 570 spam messages in it. Considering the Gmail spam folder automatically purges spam message after 30 days, that's a lot. Do you really want them in your MailWasher inbox?

I don't know how to make MWP access the Gmail spam folder. And there is no way to disable the Gmail spam filter either. But if you really want MW to process all your Gmail spam too, you can create a filter in Gmail that will effectively tag all email, including spam, as good, then dump it in your Gmail inbox where Mailwasher can access it.

Are these spam emails older ?
In MailWasher under Settings >> Accounts >> Incoming >> Advanced >> there is a setting to download emails from the last xx days >> if the emails are older than that, then they would not show up.
