I had to reinstall Windows and therefore had to reinstall mailwasher pro.
It is mostly working OK but when I mark an email as "good" it is not remembered the next time. I suspect this is because I cannot log into mailwasher in the Sync setting. it says "incorrect username or password." I assume username is the email address because the login prompt asks for email and password, NOT username and password.
So, I tried to set a new password but when entering the email address and new password I get the same message about invalid username or password. How can the new ID/PW I am defining be invalid?
A little help please!

Re: Cannot log in to mailwasher pro
Yes, if you want senders to be marked as good every time, add them to your friendslist, (click the email and click + OR, via right click menu).
The learning works based on how you mark emails, so mark ALL emails as either good or spam, (or friend or blacklist) and MW should soon start doing this itself.
Re the sync password etc, that is just for syncing accounts to MW Mobile, not required for anything else.

The thumbs down icon works as expected.
Re: Cannot log in to mailwasher pro
I thought clicking the thumbs up icon did this! That's what I've always done and it used to be all I needed to do. Now it no longer is enough. What is that thumbs up icon supposed to do?

Yes, both thumbs up and down icons mark emails as good or spam so the learning can learn that these sorts of emails are legitimate or spammy, it wont mark ALL future emails from that sender as such though, only the friends/black lists do this.
This is pretty helpful....

In any case, how do I (or do I need to) create and log into a Mailwasher account?
Re: Cannot log in to mailwasher pro
Got it! It's a little trickier (more sophisticated?) than I thought. I guess when I reinstalled (both Windows and Mailwasher) a lot of Mailwasher's saved "smarts" was lost. I expected t to just pick up where left off.gingbat wrote: ↑Mon May 29, 2023 6:15 amYes, both thumbs up and down icons mark emails as good or spam so the learning can learn that these sorts of emails are legitimate or spammy, it wont mark ALL future emails from that sender as such though, only the friends/black lists do this.

Yes, there's a lot to it most users never get into, checkout our FAQ's here:

There are also some good tips on using MWPro here:

No, usually you only need a firetrust account for support enquires, and only if email is not working for any reason, as replies to support are sent via email as well anyway.
Personally I'd not worry about it...
