MailWasher PRO deletes automatically Thunderbird Mail

All my Mailwasher PRO mail is transfered to the Thunderbird. The mail on the Thunderbird arrives and is readable: however, when I wash the mail from the Mailwasher it automatically deletes the mail on the Thunderbird. This occurred when I changed from POP3 to IMAP. Thunderbird version is 115.7.0 (32-bit). I cannot figure out what is wrong?? Please help. Ed.

Yes, in MWPro (IMAP accounts only) click, Settings>>Accounts, click your email account, (if not IMAP, you can change it here) and click the Incoming tab>>Advanced, and ensure that, "Download read emails" is not ticked there.

Then, after you read the emails in TBird, they'll disappear from MW's view upon it's next mail check.

No need to delete good emails from MW....
