Over the last few days I get above error.
Windows 10 x64 -Microsoft 365 - Outlook with 2 Exchange accounts.
I may click on "Check Mail" as many times as I want, error remains. Checking settings, etc. However, I have not changed anything.
Yesterday, as a test, I sent an email from my default account to the 2nd Exchange account. Just an empty 'test' mail.
After receiving the test mail, Mailwasher (v7.12.188) worked again.
Today I tried this 'trick' again, but that failed.
When looking into the log file, each time the 'Check Mail' ends with

C: LOGIN *******
IMAP SERVER LOGIN: mw2 NO LOGIN failed.

Now, I started to write this forum post.
Halfway of writing I see Mailwasher performing as normal. That is after some 30-35 minutes...
So, actually, right now, the matter as such is 'solved'.
Nonetheless, I still felt it would be worthwhile posting.
No idea why this is happening.

Yes, current issue with MWpro 7.12.188, resolved for most in the current beta, hoping for a full release any week now....!

Whilst writing Mailwasher did not display anything.

07:52: it shows mail titles of 2nd (not default) Exchange account and 1 Gmail account
07:58: it shows mail titles of all mail accounts.
Same as yesterday, just a delay of 20 minutes or so all is in order.
Looking forward to the release of the next version.

I have the same happening on my Hotmail & Outlook email accounts (I have 7 emails set up in MW). I am using MW 7.12.188 on Win10.
If I check mail on one email the event log errors go away. But when I check all emails at once I get the message:
Description: Failed to login to server "imap-mail.outlook.com" for your [email protected] account
Diagnosis:
This could suggest the following problems:
- Your username or password is incorrect.
- The server address is incorrect.
- You are trying to connect through an invalid port.
Is this another minor bug in the current version of MW?
If I check mail on one email the event log errors go away. But when I check all emails at once I get the message:

Same here - probably fixed in the next release.
As said, the only strange thing is: after 20-30 minutes Mailwasher works fine.
Normally, with computers, something works, or does -not- work.
This is the 1st time something suddenly works again, after 20-30 mins ... :-)
Anyway, be patient for the next release.

I have downloaded and installed the beta test MWpro 7.12.193 that FT sent me & I am still getting the same problem(s).

I am getting the error as well. Individual email account checks usually remove the error but they don't actually download spam. Marking valid emails that are downloaded for delete does not work. Mailwasher is effectively useless.

I don't think this is a MW issue - I'm also getting this issue on my phone's third-party email app. Microsoft support pages indicate that they're "investigating" multiple reports with Hotmail and Outlook IMAP log-in errors as of this past week, but not resolution has been indicated yet. Apparently it's affecting many apps and are suggesting people log-in directly to Outlook.com to check mail as a workaround. That doesn't do much to help us MW users, but hopefully they get it resolved soon.

Yes, MW is still having some issues too which we are working on as fast as we can! however good to know it's not all us!

No error of failure to log-in, however Mailwasher displayed no emails using IMAP - following error:

Yes, can we please have some logs as per below directions:
- Use MWPro until you get the error message,
- Click Help>>Send Support Logs.
- Write a note referring to this post (copy/paste the link from the address bar in your web browser)
- Click "Send Logs"
Then, reply to this to let me know the logs have been sent in case they do not arrive for any reason...
