HI all,
we have mailwasher pro installed on two computers, we will shortly be going onholiday and these two computers will not be turned on while we are away, however we have a third computer which is on 24/7 . What I would like to be able to do is install mailwasher pro on the third computer with all the email accounts on so that it can remove spam etc so that we are not receiving loads of rubbish when checking emails on phones and tablets while we are away.
Is there a way that we can export spam/ blacklist settings from the two main pc's to import into the third pc so that the third pc will have all the blacklist entries and will autodelete all the spam etc while we are away? I am aware that I can export from one and import to the third pc but I assume that if I do the same for the second PC it will overwrite the previous settings that were imported from the first pc.
I did think there used to be a way to import filters etc but cannot see it in the latest version.
Thanks in advance for any help provided.

Yes, if you export via File>>Export, when you import those settings via File>>Import, they'll overwrite any current settings, there is no way to actually merge the lists etc together sorry....
You could move the list of filters to the other PC by moving the filters.xml file to the Help>>User Files folder from one MWPro installation to the other (after closing MW) however if that helps?

Yes, that is super annoying to still get spammed on my phone until I can get home, turn on my home computer, and wash the spam/blacklist items. I'm looking forward for the mobile version of Mailwasher.

Hey there! Setting up a spam-fighting fortress for your email while you're on vacation is a great idea! Here's the deal with Mailwasher Pro on those three computers:
You can totally copy the "spam fighter knowledge" from one of your main computers! Export its spam and blacklist settings, like a secret anti-spam code. This way, the third computer (the one that's always on) will know exactly what junk to delete.
You're right, though. If you copy those settings from both computers one after another, the second one might erase the first one's settings. Kinda like overwriting a cool drawing with a new one. bummer!
Workaround Time! Since directly importing filters might not be an option anymore, here's what we can do:
Choose one of your main computers and copy its anti-spam knowledge (export the settings).
Manual Mission: On the third computer (the 24/7 one), you might have to manually add the bad email addresses and keywords from the copied settings. It's a bit like rewriting the secret code by hand, but hey, it'll keep the spam away while you're gone!
Bonus Tip: See if Mailwasher Pro has any "cloud syncing" features. Some programs let you store these settings online and access them from anywhere. That way, you wouldn't even need to do the manual transfer!
Enjoy your spam-free vacation! You deserve it!
