Friend recently keeps getting removed from Friends List

A long-time friend who sends me messages nearly every day has been in my Friends List for years. Recently (last month or two) his messages are being marked in the Status column as "Good" (rather than "Friend"), and for the life if me I cannot work iut why.

I keep editing his Friends List entry back to "Friend" but immediately after that his status still shows as "Good" (even after restarting MailWasher). This is quite irritating, since I receive frequent messages from him.

His email address is of the format: [email protected] He has had this same mail address with Telstra for decades.

Recently (several months ago), Telstra changed some thing(s) regarding his mail service. God only knows what Telstra does, but he started having problems with sending messages (SMTP errors) and has only in the last week or so mansged to get mail sending to work.

This leads me to guess that perhaps it's something in the mail headers that is causing MailWasher to keep removing his Friend status, but if do what might that be? What might I examine in the incoming message headers, or some such thing.

What are any reasons why MailWasher would continually keep removing him from Friend status, since his entry does not get deleted from this list?
