Hey, long time MW user. My wife began getting some nasty e-mails and for the first time ever, I began including her Apple e-mails with MW. Was unable to do so receiving the error message (in MW) UNKNOWN. Everything looked good after I created the account itself but upon creating the INCOMING settings that page (= incoming) shows the connection was successful but the event log is showing UNKNOWN ERROR.
I am using a Dell 'all-in-one' computer (the system is on the back side of the monitor) purchased just last year.
So I tried setting up MY Apple e-mails on MY computer and received precisely the same result: UNKNOWN ERROR.
Anybody got any ideas?
Thanks in advance,
DannyBoy

Sorry DannyBoy, I missed your original post!
Yes, you'll need to enable app specific password settings on your account, (this is now a requirement from Apple)....
First, you have to enable two factor (NOT two step) authentication within your Apple ID:
https://support.apple.com/en-au/HT204915
Then, log into your apple account:
https://appleid.apple.com/account/manage
And under Security >> APP-SPECIFIC PASSWORDS, clicked, "Generate Password...."
And use that same password in MWpro using these settings:
(NOTE: don't add in the dashes apple shows for the password)
Any problems, please let me know.
