Hi All,
Long term user, since 2018.
I have a Lenovo Ideapad 1 since early this year and have had a lot of issues, it finally crashed and refused to load anything.
I am still negotiating with Lenovo but their latest idea is to drop back a version of MS Windows 11.
I had to reload MW as a result and since then every login I get almost all the mails I rejected last time as blacklisted and a whole new set of spams. My original dbs of blacklists and all my email users are gone, I ma using an older PC to keep going.
I dealt with the first lot and they seemed to be dealt with but every time most of them are back with a whole new set.
?? I cannot imagine what is happening.

Hi Barry,
Just check you don't have MW set to show the ALL MAIL folder if using gmail, as that'll show all mail including those deleted emails again... (under the IMAP tab for this account).
If no, or not using gmail, are these new emails that are also backlisted? or the exact same ones?
If they are the same, after you wash mail in MW, log into webmail and see if those emails are still there? if so, are they in the inbox, or another folder?
If they don't show however, try clearing the cache...
Click Settings>>Checking Mail, click the “Clear Cache” button. (Note that this is disabled until the current Mail check has completed)
During this process the inbox mail grid will be cleared, (NO emails will be deleted though) and when process finished, the mail check will start for default accounts.

Well now, this morning, my time, I am in France, even before I did anything, there were new mails in the inbox. I clicked wash and several which were already in there disappeared! They must have been from yesterday or were maybe repeats.
However, half of the emails received today were delivered and read yesterday.
I don't use gmail on the MW mails and I only have one mailer on it, Thunderbird. There was only one junk mail in the 'new' mails received today.
BTW, the Thunderbird is showing 136 mails unread from a total of 149.... must look in to that!!
The real issue is all my apps disappeared when I went back in MS 11 to the previous version, Linovo couldn't get back to it, they don't have the cds!!

Sorry Barry, still not clear on what the issue is, are you still having issues, or is the problem resolved?
If you are still seeing old emails that you know are NOT on the server, (check via webmail), did you clear the cache? if so, but no difference, next option would be to delete and re-setup the account as below....
Please delete the problem email account first:
Settings>>Accounts, click the account>>Remove Account.
Click File>>Exit to close MWpro, then re-open it.
Then setup the account/s again:
In Mailwasher Pro click, Settings>>Accounts>>Add Email Account, type any name for this account you like, enter your email address and click Save.
Click the Incoming tab and click "Sign in with Microsoft/Yahoo", follow the prompts and you'll be asked for permission to allow MW access to the account, ensure you agree to this.
(NOTE: if "Sign in with Microsoft/Yahoo" does not show, just enter your normal email account password and click Save)
If it shows successful, click Save again on the outgoing tab, refresh folders on the IMAP tab (IF asked) and you are all set.

Just collected my emails this morning 12 Sept.
50 items on the first line, all blacklist items starting 11Sept .
So, I am still having issues.

Sorry Barry, still unclear on what the issue is... these emails are blacklist but not spam? or they are old emails? please describe exactly what's going on there and possibly add any screenshots why may help? (ensure you blur out any personal data if posting to forums). OR, email these to support at firetrust dot com referring to this post if that is easier....

Yes, they are old emails which are re-appearing in my checked mail box as a series of posts.
Typically today the third mail is a publicity item from Decathlon dated 12/1 /2025 with status blacklisted in a list marked "yesterday" with one with 'good' on the same data set. 12/1/2024

Sorry but no logs arrived, however before you send more, if these are old emails, can you please log into webmail and see if those old emails show there?
If not, send new logs as below....
As the logs are not sending correctly, we'll use another method to get these....
- Open MWpro.
- Click, Help>>User Files>>Logs,
- Right click on the "logs" folder.
- Click Send to >> Compressed, (Zipped) folder.
- Move/Save the resulting .zip folder to your desktop.
- Reply to this email in your email client and click it's "Attach" button, and attach the .zip file to an email to support at firetrust dot com.

OK, I have the other PC with Windows 111 running now.
So ,I'll log a help topic there? OK? I'll send the log of todays emails as received. Hopefully they will show exactly what is happening.

Yes, if that PC is working correctly, and you want the other setup exactly the same, probably the easiest way to fix this is to save your settings from the PC that is working OK, via File>>Export, move the resulting file to the other PC and click File>>Import to import them....?

Sorry for the delay in replying. Your advice worked fine until today when all of yesterdays emails appeared again a the end of todays one but all marked "empty mail"!!

Is this in the inbox folder in MWPro? if so, that usually means that another program has deleted those particular emails, OR, removed them from the mail server already, but MW tries to display them as the server is a bit slow to update...
If still problems with all mail received in MW however, please try clearing the cache again....?

Yes, they are in the inbox folder, same story today. I cleared the cache and unclicked the various options in Thunderbird about collecting messages, I now have nothing there, except leave message on the server for 14 days, just in case
