Click the 'Display Option' button on the main toolbar and you can change the size of the buttons (and everything else) there.fatlizard wrote: ↑Sun Aug 11, 2024 6:55 amPerhaps not the biggest gripe, but I find that the buttons take up too much screen real estate.
I'd much prefer to be able to select a smaller size.
Even the toolbar that they reside in is far too big for my liking.
I find myself right-clicking everywhere looking for the option to choose the button size/style, to no avail.
Surely it can't be just myself?

Several time I have found myself wishing I could export my friends list and blacklist so I can go through them on a bigger page in a word processor and clean them up.

Suggestions for MWPro
Hi,
I use the eM Client email client. It has a cool feature that I wish MailWasher Pro had as well.
The feature I'm referring to is the ability to translate the message when it's in a language other than the one we're using. It's optional. You decide whether you want to translate it or not (via a button).
Thanks.

Hi
Just this:
any chance to have - within the settings - a way to actually 'choose' which application or browser to use, to load emails in HTML ?
... instead of been forced to use WebView2 - I cannot really stand WebView any more.
I cannot read anything in HTML since WebView2 is a dead application in my computers.
Wonderful!

Suggestions for MWPro Dark Mode Please
Hello
I know this has been ask many times before. Version 7 has now been out for 7 years.
That's a long time without an upgrade!
Please when is version 8 going to be release? Will it be 2026 or a few more years after that?
As you know a lot of us are really needing Dark Mode.
The white is is blinding on the eyes, as you are aware.
If Version 8 is a few years away please can't you just add dark theme to version 7?
That would keep many of us very happy.
Then you can spend many more years developing version 8
Thank you...

Re: Suggestions for MWPro
1. Could you please add an indicator to the status bar to show when I have made a change in the grid, e.g. changing the classification or marking an email for reporting. Especially if I have only changed the classification on a single email, I'll have forgotten about it by the time I get to the end of the inbox, and so forget to wash.
2. In the Event Log, could the "Fetching mail complete" message also show the number of emails fetched in the subject. Most times, that would mean that I don't need to check the details, and so be a big time saver. Doing the same to the delete message might be a good idea too.
3. Hopefully this is already on the list, but again in the Event Log, could the details of the '"Reporting" complete' message show what has been reported.

Re: Suggestions for MWPro
My MailWasher Pro wish list contains two wishes.
- Change the action of the View In HTML button in the reading or popup pane to automatically download the full HTML, instead of having to click a second button.
- Alter the code that limits the number of spam filters that can be seen using the scrollbar. Currently, no matter what I do, my 75th filter is hidden unless I expand the bottom of the GUI to 775 pixels. The scrollbar stops on the 74th filter and refuses to show any more.

Suggestion: Error on wash mail, save selections made before restart
I know, that probably doesn't make any sense. Here we go. I'm going through all my e-mails and bam! Mailwasher can't connect to my mail server (yahoo). I'm going to go ahead and restart the program...but, I want/would like to have a button to save the current settings for the mail in the queue. It would be temporary of course and erased right after mailwasher is back up and running. As it is now...now I get to go through another (the same) set of mail to get what I want and delete what I dont.

Re: Suggestions for MWPro
is there a way to view email on the server and determine if it has been downloaded or read by the recipient? MWP7 has a Read column. The dots don't change unless I click on a dot. I don't know what that does, if anything. I screen email for family members so they don't get junk/spam and what not but sometimes I have deleted important email at the server before the recipient downloads it. What I have been doing is leaving it on the server for a day or 2 then delete it but even that isn't fool proof.

Re: Suggestions for MWPro
Sorry but no, MWP cannot tell if an email has been read by the recipient or not, a program called MSGTAG used to do this and worked well, but is no longer available....
Not sure if there is any other program out there that can do this now? (due to privacy I'd assume....?)

Re: Suggestions for MWPro
I've noticed lately that a lot of spam email is no longer including an address in the "From" header line. Instead that information is being put into the "Sender" and "Reply-to" header lines.
For example:
From: Gutter Guard Offer
Sender: [email protected]
Reply-To: [email protected]
This defeats the blacklist feature in MWP.
Would it be possible to have an option in MWP to use the addresses in those header lines if there's no address in "From"? Ideally if enabled that address would then be used for matching (and also the "add to" function) for the Friends list and Blacklist, and the domain would appear in the domain column in the message grid.
A second suggestion: right now right-click adding a domain to Friends or Blacklist adds the full domain e.g. supercalifragilistic.badguy.com. It would be nice to have a right-click menu option to add *badguy.com instead, i.e. remove the leftmost component of the domain name and replace it and the dot following it with a wildcard asterisk. I've been doing this manually which is time consuming. I've seen a lot of spam that includes a seemingly random and sometimes very long subdomain, apparently to defeat spam detection and domain blocking.
Thanks!

Re: Suggestions for MWPro
Yep, easy fix here, just setup a filter to catch any email with no @ in the from field...?
Check out the Filter tips here:
http://www.firetrust.com/en/products/ma ... d-features
And under, Help>>Help>>Topics>>Spam Tools>>Using Filters for details on making a filter.
You can set your filters, (Settings>>Spam Tools>>Filters>>click a filter>>Edit) to auto delete by selecting this option under the Actions tab there...

I do see in the Care Center for MWP though Advanced Topics (https://firetrust.com/products/mailwash ... washer-pro) though. No info under that appears to be exactly that?
I guess using on MWP, HELP, HELP TOPICS gets me to the same place? However, nothing specific about creating one for email subject without an '@'?
Me, I would have created on to get rid of any that had those words in FROM: and set it be deleted?
