Thanks for sticking with this ---- I know this is not a big issue and by using Gmail as the Fall Back (and Outgoing settings for each account) Restore is "working" and I know the Verizon/AOL issues will be resolved eventually (and I'm probably not alone on this - only people that don't have a Gmail account would still have an issue).
Let's see what Development comes up with - and I'm willing to do any remote testing for you.
Have a good weekend and thanks again for the assist!

Re: Restore not working
My restore from recycled function is not working. Last time I used it was perhaps a year or so ago. I get musical dings when I click restore and nothing happens. No error message. I've changed the category from spam to friend, no change. I've changed the outgoing port (comcast) from 465 to 587. No change. I've reinstalled it twice. It used to work.
This was discovered when a friend protested that he had sent me info twice, and would I check my spam folder. They were indeed in the MW recycled folder, and I could not restore them even by changing "spam" to "friend". I've never seen spam in MW go directly to recycled without my marking them for delete and hitting WASH.
Can you help?
Jim

Re: Restore not working
Hi Jim, just replied to your PM however you can ignore my reply to that as I'll reply here....
Yes, MWPro should only delete the emails that you mark for deletion.... you just need to find out why this email was deleted.
Click on it in the MWPro recycle bin, then click View>>Sidebar>>Evaluation button, and it should tell you there which spam tool deleted this email?
For example, if Blacklist is selected, this email address, (or more likely the domain) is on the blacklist.
Edit or adjust the spam tool under Settings>>Spam Tools that caused the auto deletion.
Re the restoration, yes, in the 7.xx version, MWPro uses the settings from the email account you deleted the email from.......
----------
Also, note that you can click an email in the recycle bin, then click "Forward" (just above the preview pane) and forward it to yourself, this does not use the settings in MW, but your actual email program installed on your PC, if you cannot see the preview pane, click View>>Preview pane.
----------
....so, please check these settings are correct under, Settings>>Accounts, click your account, click the "Outgoing" tab, and check the settings.
Also, ensure that your antivirus programs email scanner is not preventing MW's outgoing mail there, (you can disable the outgoing mail scanner if you wish, as the antivirus programs real time scanner will scan all mail anyway).
Check that the firewall is not stopping outgoing mail from MWPro also.
If all appears fine for all your accounts and security software, please try restoring again, when you get the error, (or no mail appears) could you please send me your logs there.
- Click Help>>Send Support Logs.
- Write a note referring to this post (copy/paste the link from the address bar in your web browser)
- Click "Send Logs"
Then, reply to this to let me know the logs have been sent in case they do not arrive for any reason...

Re: Restore not working
Cannot restore accidently deleted emails. When selecting and email to be restored and clicking on Restore Email, the program states: "The restored email is being sent to...." but nothing is sent.
