Apple Email Setup Fails in MailWasher

Hi everyone,
Long-time MailWasher user here. I recently tried adding my wife's Apple email account to MailWasher due to some troubling messages she received. Although the account setup appeared successful, I ran into a problem when configuring the incoming mail settings. The connection test shows as successful, but the event log reports an "UNKNOWN ERROR."

I’m using a Dell all-in-one PC purchased just last year.
Out of curiosity, I tried adding my own Apple email on the same machine and ran into the exact same issue — successful connection but “UNKNOWN ERROR” in the event log.

Has anyone else experienced this or know of a solution?

I think you should try using an app password from Apple, as iCloud often blocks connections if not used properly.

Yes, 'Chandlers' is correct, you'll need to enable app specific password settings on your account, (this is now a requirement from Apple)....

First, you have to enable two factor (NOT two step) authentication within your Apple ID:

Then, log into your apple account:

https://appleid.apple.com/account/manage

And under Security >> APP-SPECIFIC PASSWORDS, clicked, "Generate Password...."

And use that same password in MWpro using these settings:

(NOTE: don't add in the dashes apple shows for the password)
