ongoing bugs

Wed Aug 06, 2025 7:46 pm

MWPro does / does not do the following:

-emails that have already been opened and read often keep showing up in mailwasher pro instead of not showing up after being read.
-addresses added to 'good' list or 'friends' list are always showing up as 'spam or blacklisted when another arrives.

and a minor annoyance:

-after updating MWPro, the gui colour revers back to default blue

In MWPro click, Settings>>Accounts, click your email account, and click the Incoming tab>>Advanced, and ensure that, "Download read emails" is not ticked there.
If no better, or not checked, I'd try clearing the cache...

Click Settings>>Checking Mail, click the “Clear Cache” button. (Note that this is disabled until the current Mail check has completed)
During this process the inbox mail grid will be cleared, (NO emails will be deleted though) and when process finished, the mail check will start for default accounts.

If these senders ARE on the friendslist, it looks likely that your MWP.db3 database is corrupt.

(NOTE: this holds your learning settings, and blacklist/friendslist, so the below will reset these sorry, however you can backup first via File>>Export if you wish).

Click Help>>User files in MWPro.
Minimise the folder that opens.
Click File>>Exit to close MWPro.
Maximise the folder, then open the Cache folder.

Then, (With MWPro closed) rename the MWP.db3 file to MWP1.db3 and restart MWPro.

Yep, sounds like the database, mark all emails as good or spam, or black or friendslist and that should soon sort itself out.
