Just upgraded to Pro 2010 and everything operates the same with one exception. In the old version after I selected the mail to be washed it launched the default email client and the unwashed (mail I wanted) mail was automatically downloaded. In Pro 2010 after the mail is washed it launches the client but I have to manually "Get Mail". I checked the settings but couldn't find where Thunderbird is to automatically download the mail I want. Help?
Thanks in advance.

In ThunderBird you go Tools >> Account Settings >> Server Settings >> you'll see this here for each account. Though just remember it'll download if you open ThunderBird by mistake, before using MailWasher.....something I do all the time.

Just to clarify for markaz, beta testers are working on an app that when MailWasher launches the email client it will trigger a download. I personally would like to integrate it more into MailWasher first and cater to other email programs

Thanks to all for the replies.
I just don't get it. rustic - That setting was already checked at the time of the upgrade. That's what is surprising to me. After marking any emails for deletion and then clicking "Wash Mail", Thunderbird would launch and automatically download the mail I wanted. Now it doesn't after the upgrade.

If all of your msgs are marked for deletion then TB will not be called.markaz wrote:Thanks to all for the replies.

Sidewinder - I don't think you read my message carefully. I said "After marking any emails for deletion and then clicking "Wash Mail", Thunderbird would launch and automatically download the mail I wanted." So I wash what I don't want and keep what I want downloaded. It's what I keep that won't downloaded automatically when TBird is launched. You have the old MailWasher still installed ? What does that have set....I'm confused myself why this would happen.markaz wrote:Thanks to all for the replies.

Sometimes you can run into command line arguments that confuse things, check what you have in v6 and duplicate it in 2010

Clarify please, does TB open or maximize from the tray but doesn't download?
Or does nothing happen.
What does MWP status show?
What OS are you using.

Re: Automatic download of washed mail
Issue resolved......and I don't know why. Just passing this along for informational purposes and wanted to say Thanks for everybody's efforts in attempting to resolve this.
I sent test emails from 4 different email accounts to the default account in MWP. I noticed that two of the email address were previously added to the "Friends List" and two were not. I did not mark any for deletion and washed all four emails. Thunderbird launched and the two emails that were marked as a Friend downloaded automatically. The other two did not even though they were OK.
I uninstalled MWP2010 and reinstalled it. Made sure the settings were the same as MWP6.5.3. I resent the four emails as before and washed them. This time TBird launched and downloaded all four messages.
Why it would only download known email addresses marked as a friend, I have absolutely no idea and why it works properly now, I don't know......and don't care.
