MWP wont log into mailserver

I have just upgraded to latest version MWP. It has imported settings from earlier version 6.5.3. All seems to be correct but MWP won't connect or login to my mail server,,,,,,just stays open trying to login/connect.

This image shows MWP clunking away and trying to connect,,,but doesn't.

I still have MWP 6.5.3 working, and that has the same mail settings as the new version, but the new version won't connect.

Any ideas as to what I am doing wrong??

If you go Help >> Send Support Logs >> enter chris as the Ticket Number >> Send Logs.

Please respond with your current version of MWP, what OS your are running, what type of mail connection do you use e.g. POP, IMAP etc. and who is providing the mail service.

You might try clearing out your password and manually re-entering it, Save, Close MWP and the Restart and try again.

n order for FT to help with this issue I suggest that you click on Check Mail, let it work for a couple of minutes then tell it to Stop.
Then go to Help, Send Support Logs. When the window opens then put a short description in the box and in the Ticket Number enter Chris. Not sure it it will work if there are problems with your server connection.

You're not going to believe this, but after spending a couple of hours on this issue yesterday before reading the forums and then posting my question, I have just opened MWP, (as I had it turned off), to get those logs, and blow me down, it just connected as you would expect, checked my mail at my server.

I don't know what was going on yesterday as my old version MWP 6.5.3 would connect, but the new version 2010.1.04 would not.


As requested, I have sent the logs.

Firewall maybe glitched out until a restart ?

The logs are only todays so I see it working fine, I'm inclined not to push this issue too much though and let sleeping dogs lie
