Hello,
I am not sure if I am missing something here or if there is a glitch in the product. I have set the Recycle Bin for keeping messages up to 3 days, today is the fifth, why do I still see messages from the first of august?

Sweet jesus, I was scratching my head thinking for a few minutes thinking something was wrong with your display.....then I realised you were being fancy
The column showing, is that when the messages were deleted ?

Re: Recycle Bin not being emptied?
Oops. Sorry for the confusion. I was trying to avoid posting two images.
The upper part shows how I configured the Recycle Bin, and the lower part shows the current content. In other words, it shows what I see after clicking the middle tab on the top, then selected "the last 7 days" from the drop-down. I expected to see at most the past three days, yet I can still restore earlier messages. The column displayed is when the spam was received.
Did I misunderstand the meaning of the "store deleted emails for x days" setting?

Re: Recycle Bin not being emptied?
No you've got the understanding of the setting right, however I'm just not sure what actual date is being displayed. If for example you were showing date sent, that might explain it as you may have deleted the email within the last 3 days.
If though that is the date deleted column, then try restarting MailWasher and see if that removes the entries. We do the clear down I think on exit, and there's also a scheduled run I believe that runs once a day. It's possible that this isn't working as it should.
By the way, have you tried the other fonts yet and if so, are they any better for reading ? Let me know if not as we can look to improve this further.

Re: Recycle Bin not being emptied?
Ok, here are all three columns. It is early in the morning of 8/6 here. The messages from 8/1 are now gone, so they are being deleted. It just seems to be a question of how long these three days are. For example, if the oldest message was deleted 22:05 on 8/2 - then add 3 days, and it would have to leave the list after 22:05 on 8/5. So it might be that messages are being kept a day longer than they should. Not a big problem, I just wasn't sure what was happening.
Chris, I tried both Arial and Verdana, but Segoe UI (the default font) still looks best. Changing the font does not fix the strange problem I am having here. It is pretty weird.

Re: Recycle Bin not being emptied?
Just a note, Chris fiddled the forum software and you can now put up five images per post so we aren't having to work around the old image count limit any longer.
I am not a Firetrust employee just a MW user.

I don't think time is taken into account, it's simply date.
Can you send me some screen shots of the other fonts to [email protected], we'll see what we can do.
