It is so slow! I can fire up the older version, look at my mail in the time it takes for the flash screen on 2010 to display.
I shall have to put my rash purchase down to experience. The older version does all I want in half the time.

Make sure that the delete indicator is not set on good messages either by filters, blacklist etc.Clawed wrote:I bought the new version of MailWasher Pro (2010.1.0.10). I received an email this morning from a new correspondent (i.e., one from whom I'd never before received an email). In the MailWasher inbox, I marked the email as good, and selected the Wash Mail command, but the program sent the email to the recycle bin anyway.
Then I went to the recycle bin and tried to restore the email. It indicated that the email was restored, but it never showed up in my MailWasher inbox. After about 15 minutes of trying to get MailWasher to restore the email, I gave up and wrote my correspondent back and asked her to re-send. She did, but after a few minutes, an email fro her did show up in my Email program's inbox -- it never showed up in my MailWasher inbox.
Why, after I marked the original email as good, did it get sent to the recycle bin and why, once there, did it not restore, even though it told me it had?
I did some tests and was able to restore test emails I'd deleted, but it is disturbing that the problem appears to be intermittent and unexplainable.
In general, I find the new version of MailWasher Pro to be inferior to my previous version and generally disappointing. I find the new version to be clunkier, slower, and not as responsive. Maybe I just need to learn it, but this problem (described above) has me worried.
And bear in mind, I'm a MailWasher enthusiast. I've recommended it to many people. But I'm going to hold off doing so in the future until I can get to the bottom of this issue.

Restores are done back to the Account that the message came from so I suggest that you review that Accounts settings to make sure they are OK. Also some ISP's may reject the incoming message due to the change in header info. Go to Help, Send Support Logs, Add a brief description and refer to this topic. Put Chris in the Ticket number and he will check the logs to see if there is an indication to what is happening.
There is also a separate setting for a fallback account to use for restoring if the original fails. You might want to look to see where it is set and check that account to see if the original message is there.
