OK, been using this for way too many years since the original, previously been on the beta list then moved away as things were going well and pretty much an excellent product was available and working which just needed a little tweaking every so often.
Yes, the username shows new but, cannot get it to log me in with the original login so I suspect someone cleaned up.
Very pleased to see a new version but, should it not work at least as well as the old one?
V10 worked, clunkily and very slowly but, following an erm... update? v15 triggers cpu usage permanently over 50% (nope... not my pc or any other rubbish except new obviously beta version and base W7-64OS)
The message window will only become focussed if you reset focus to the parent program first - did not do it on v10 so someone messed up, screen cannot be reduced like the old one to a few lines but has to be 300+ down.
Loads and triggers AV (F-secure) so then goes off hogging cpu and memory causing it to become unresponsive, when it does that it does that it holds the sockets open messing other things up - v10 did not.
If you had not prematurely evacuated (closed) the beta section this could have gone there, then again, did no-one check the build before roll-out or is commercial pressure now showing as style over substance?
Thankfully the old version still works - better, quicker and cleaner, without the need for the eye candy for the under 12's.
Reading the forums it looks like your new (2008) beta mob are also allowed berate users who dare to state opinions?
I suspect that I will disappear soon as I openly post when there are problems.
If this is non-beta then it should work better each iteration after or are you really trying to massacre the excellent reputation you have (had)
Is the new MWPro out of beta yet?

Have you sent through any support logs for this, is the 50% CPU use at all times even when MailWasher is idle. Is it MailWasherPro.exe or MailWasherProApp.exe using the CPU ?
This CPU activity is in F-Secure or MailWasher ?
In my opinion, you simple berated the display in a derogatory manner and I ask what purpose does that serve, were you actually thinking this would get someone's attention and be taken seriously ?
We get far more compliments than we do complaints, and until you can offer something better than using terms like Fisher Price, or that it's designed for children, then we cannot have a decent dialogue about the display.

There seems to be a glitch that can cause this behaviour but it's definitely not doing it intentionally nor is it standard. When we can realiably reproduce teh problem we can look at addressing.PaulM wrote:The message window will only become focussed if you reset focus to the parent program first - did not do it on v10 so someone messed up, screen cannot be reduced like the old one to a few lines but has to be 300+ down.
There has been no significant alteration in the new version in regards to sockets, and I don't know what 'triggers F-Secure' means, some kind of alert or just CPU activity ?PaulM wrote:Loads and triggers AV (F-secure) so then goes off hogging cpu and memory causing it to become unresponsive, when it does that it does that it holds the sockets open messing other things up - v10 did not.

Clearly there's a difference in opinion. The forum isn't a soap box, it's a place for constructive criticisms and medium to get help and advice.PaulM wrote:If you had not prematurely evacuated (closed) the beta section this could have gone there, then again, did no-one check the build before roll-out or is commercial pressure now showing as style over substance?

Maybe you should stop counting the supidupi-wearethebest mails from your beta-guys. Then you would notice, that most mails (from customers) are not compliments. And that your business is steeply running down the spiral...

But that's an incorrect assumption. It's not the beta testers at all giving the positive feedback that I'm referring to.
