email will not show on Outlook Express

HI,
I have two desk top icons for MW 5.0 (I don't know why) and today I installed MWP 2010 so now I have 3 icon. I can no longer get my email in my Outlook Express inbox even though I can read it by using any of the 3 MW desktop icons.

Can someone take my hand and walk me through this? It must be an age thing, I can see there is a problem but don't know where to start.

OK so now I'm really confused.

I used my wifes apple lap top to go to my optonline email address and found the 3 emails that are sitting in my MW2010. It seems like the steps are
1) Mail Washer
2) Outlook Express
3) Optonline

Somehow my mail skipped step 2 but still remains accessable at step 1??? and is accessable at optonline. I don't understand.

What happens when you press Send/Receive in Outlook Express ? Do the waiting emails then download into Outlook Express

Sure thing. Because we recommend you switch off automatic downloading of emails in Outlook Express, then it's just a case of hitting this button to bring the good emails in when you're done in MailWasher.
