Permanent removal of event log
Is there any way to permanently remove / disable the Event Log tab? After only a week of using this new version, I'm already finding it annoying having to delete the ever-growing llist of events (most of which are just MailWasher telling me it's checked my email accounts... DERRRR... there's email there with a recent time-stamp on it so it must bw new.

MailWasher only keeps the most recent 200 events if I recall, so there's no need for you to clean it up.
The Event Log tab only shows if there were errors though (unless you've checked under the View Menu to always show it), so if we resolve the errors you'll no longer see the Event Log tab popup and blink...
The question would be, what's showing as the errors ?

Re: Permanent removal of event log
In the time since I posted there's 20 events in the log;
12 are confirmation messages about fetching and filtering email,
1 is an 'unknown error'
Description: An unknown error has occurred. MailWasher is unable to determine the cause of this error.
Diagnosis: <EVENT><NAME>MWPEXCEPTION</NAME><ID>581a104d7a53a28e45b75ffac87d4346</ID><DT>2010-08-26 20:34:56</DT><MWPEXCEPTION><UID>Exception e8c2e55150d1a983d81c76b848e470f3</UID><AID>Acct86183794</AID><SOURCE>MWPapp</SOURCE><MESSAGE>Identical thread running on account Acct86183794</MESSAGE><EXCEPTION><SOURCE>MWPapp</SOURCE><ADD_ID>Acct86183794</ADD_ID><MSG>Identical thread running on account Acct86183794</MSG></EXCEPTION></MWPEXCEPTION><ORDINAL>0</ORDINAL></EVENT>
the remaining 7 are 'user action requests' checking email
That's about 19 more than I really need to know about and I don't have 'always show event log' selected

Re: Permanent removal of event log
Sure thing, so MailWasher is stuck on an account, everytime MailWasher tries to check it again it comes back that there's already a check in progress. I restart of MailWasher will clear that....next time it happens after the restart go Help >> Send Support Logs >> enter chris as the Ticket Number >> Send Logs..
Cheers
