I managed to figure out how to import my blacklist/friendslist to the MWP-2010 The blacklist works fine but the friendslist, it only keeps "contacts" imported from Outlook, the "Friendslist" from the older version will import, but goes away after closing the program,. I have to "Import" it every time I startup MWP. what's up with that?
Also, it says... "Go to Help>User Files to see logs, blacklists etc"... I can't fing the friends list or the blacklist of the new version (2010) anywhere, what is it's name? whare is it?

Re: Import freinds list not working
Are you just closing MW and waiting until it finished or are you exiting windows with MW still running background processes?
MW does a good bit of work on the data files after the main window is closed, might want to check task manager just to be sure it is finished and gone before restarting MW or exiting Windows.
If that doesn't do it then rusticdog may want to collect a set of logs from you and see if he can find an issue there.

I am not a Firetrust employee just a MW user.

Re: Import freinds list not working
I figured it out... cleared list, re-imported. I originaly used the wizard to import outlook contacts, but didn't have the "blacklist" in the proper folder for MWP to find it. I later put in the proper folder (Documents and settings>user>App..data>MailWasherPro) it then would import the friends list but then it would dissappear after closing MWP. I thought, ok lets srart over, I clicked "clear list" then "Import", now the list is complete and stays after closing and reopening MWP.

Re: Import freinds list not working
Hi - I got the following instructions from Firetrust today 9-2-10 via email, and they worked perfectly. I had the old version on an old XP machine and installed the new version on my new Win 7 machine.
"Create a folder on the machine where Maiwlasher 2010 runs and name it MailwasherPro
The direction where that folder is located should be C:\Users\[user name]\AppData\Roaming
Paste the blacklist from the old Mailwasher into that folder.
You find the black list (Includes also your friend list) when you click in the old Mailwasher on Help >> About >> click blue link to data files >> there will be a file here called blacklist.txt
Now try to import with the new Mailwasher by clicking Settings>spam tools>friend list>import."
I found blacklist.txt with no problems and it does indeed also contain the friends list. I did have to select the import button twice - once on the Blacklist tab and once on the Friends list tab.
Hope this helps!
