Has anyone else seen weird Windows crashes since installing MW 2010? I clicked open MW 2010 1.0.19 a couple of hours ago and my right screen flashed mainly black with some odd geometric patterns and the PC immediately rebooted. I have never seen this PC (about 4.5 years old) reboot like that. It also seems that if I leave MW open when in sleep mode that the PC doesn't come out of sleep and needs a hard reboot (just sometimes...once every 10 days or so...kinda odd. Me using sleep mode is relatively recent (since the WHS went in...which is great BTW).
I can't pin these on MW...in fact, MW might have nothing to do with it. I was just wondering if anyone else had seen similar issues.

Re: Instant Crashes
I haven't seen this on either of my two systems and haven't seen any posts regarding these symptoms. I typically put my LT into Sleep state overnight.
On occasion my DT does an occasional random BSOD but I've resolved those with rolling back my registry after some MW update installs.
There have been instances with MWP and out of date video drivers creating conflicts which are cleared by updating the drivers.

Re: Instant Crashes
Mine is a desktop. MW is installed on my DT and my wife's DT. I'll have to ask her whether she has seen anything like this. It, as I said, may have nothing to do with MW. I just noticed the symptoms that I posted.

Re: Instant Crashes
The first issue I would look at the video drivers. Here's some links...
http://www.nvidia.com/Download/index.aspx?lang=en-us
http://www.amd.com/us/Pages/AMDHomePage.aspx (right side pick boxes for desk, note and work)
http://www.intel.com/p/en_US/support?iid=hdr+support (US version) offers a detector and downloads.
http://www.matrox.com/graphics/en/support/drivers/
The Sleep issue isn't something I've heard before either. However I wouldn't rule these out as related.

Re: Instant Crashes
I'll check my Matrox drivers when I get home (I have the P-650 dual head card), but I just updated these about 3 months ago and suspect that I am running the latest version.
