1.0.27 hangs while "evaluating mesage"

First: system configuration: Windows 7 Pro, 2x4-core AMD Opterons, 16 gig RAM, 7 TB interal storage. All M$ patches are up-to-date.

I installed 1.0.27 yesterday. It started acting strangely after a few hours use. Emails that had already been downloaded showed on every other line and wouldn't go away; the program would not exit via the exit and had to be killed via the Task Manager. I restarted the program and the phantom entries went away.

Now gets stuck in a loop while "evaluating" messages. This hangs the program and won't allow email accounts to be checked for new messages. I left my house for a while and when I checked, it had been stuck in that condition for 2 hours, 45 minutes without checking mail accounts. The "Stop" feature can be clicked on, but it disappears but doesn't appear to do anything.

If I want to check new messages, I have to kill the program via Task Manager and restart it. Rebooting the box didn't change anything. Still the same issues.

I tried going back to the older version of MW, but apparently there's a dll issue where the old program crashes with the new dlls.

This is a show-stopper. Unless there's something I can configure to turn off the "evaluating", it's almost useless. Oh. I have First Alert and Learning disabled. I thought that might help, but apparently not.

All reports seem to indicate FirstAlert is causing this, try restarting MailWasher after making sure that FirstAlert is disabled. The Bayesian won't matter though.

I'll give that a try and post an update with the results.

We've just restarted the faulty server, so if disabling it works, you could try again with it enabled to see if it's working again.

First: Restarting after disabling FirstAlert stopped the evaluating hang. Then re-enabling FirstAlert after the server reboot also seems to have worked. Things seem to be ok at the moment.
