Am I the only person to find that 2010 will announce the arrival of more e'mails than there really are?
I've been astonished by massive mis-counts, so much so that I now go and check with netmail into my ISP to see EXACTLY what the ISP has there waiting for me BEFORE I even open up 2010 from its initial loading up into the Task Bar to see just how it can justify [say] a claimed SIX e'mails when I have checked right at the ISP server and found only THREE e'mails there!
The problem of being constantly advised that there are "X" e'mails there when I have looked at them but NOT deleted them - or dragged them off to Eudora - whilst Poppeeper doesn't keep bugging me about emails I have seen in its listing - but have not read - is rather annoying! [Which is why I use Poppeeper for all my Hotmail accounts, and 2010 solely for my ISP e'mail account.
I wonder if the missing e'mails happen to be SPAM stuff that 2010 has taken into its "head" to delete before I have to?
I must admit that I have NOT seen any SPAM in recent days - So I wonder..... If 2010 is auto-destroying SPAM - then I welcome it.
Anyone else with similar experiences? Wish I wasn't bugged by having "old" messages being advised as "NEW" too.
