Mail washing opens multiple instances of Outlook

And just to be clear, if you try an open Outlook say from a desktop shortcut, it only produces the one instance ?
If so, then in MailWasher under Settings >> General >> Washing Mail >> click Browse >> navigate to the desktop >> change the file type bottom right from EXE files to ALL, you should see the Outlook shortcut and be able to chose that.

I had never tried it before, but if I click on the normal shortcut in the start menu, a second instance opens. It looks like the last update was 8th December.

OK, if you navigate back to that shortcut, right click on it instead >> Properties >> click in the Target field, arrow across to the right, add a space and /recycle to the end >> click OK.
Does it still open multiple copies when using Start Menu shortcut ?

Just got back to my PC after Christmas! I see now that this no longer happens, so I assume that something has updated in Outlook/Office. As a result, I didn't get a chance to try editing the shortcut, but I suppose now it doesn't make any sense as it is working as expected. Maybe it will help someone in the future.
