Hi All
Same symptoms here
Intermittent 'Unknown error' messages since 10:15 GMT last night - now a couple of 'Database Corrupted' errors as well.
'Wash mail' button greyed out - Mailwasher failing to retrieve messages from mailserver.
Running Windows 10 Pro - V22H2 OS build 19045.3570
Thanks, Adrian

Re: Unknown error
Delete 7.12.173 version and install an older version:

Did you uninstall from Control Panel > Programs > Programs and Features > MailWasherPro
and then reinstall from something like C:\ProgramData\Firetrust\updates\Update712119\mailwasher_pro_setup_7_12_119.exe
or is more required to preserve the Settings?
Re: Unknown error
How did you perform the downgrading?genesp wrote: ↑Mon Nov 13, 2023 12:44 amDelete 7.12.173 version and install an older version:

Re: Unknown error
Hi there,
Very sorry about the problems Mailwasher Pro is currently having, (all mail checks fail, corrupt database messages etc) our developer is looking into what is happening now, unfortunately the problem occurred on Sunday afternoon when no-one was available to look into what was happening, was entirely unexpected, and we're not even sure how its possible as yet.....!
Still currently unsure of the cause, but hope to have it resolved soon.
In the meantime, options are to either not use MW for the meantime, OR, use an older version as below.
If you wish to to do this:
* please uninstall your current MWPro,
* cancel the question asking why you are uninstalling
* click YES when asked if you wish to save your user data,
* install this version:
http://cdn.firetrust.com/downloads/mail ... _12_25.exe
And it should work fine.
If you could also please do not respond to this unless still having problems with the above version and that'd be appreciated.
Cheers!

Re: Unknown error
Same here.
When I first logged into this Forum, there were NO messages. I saw this and others after I posted mine.
I just installed the version posted here.... but only after I downloaded it a second time. The first time had a warning and it wouldn't installl. Downloaded again, over-wrote the previous, and now it's running -- so far.
It's like MW has had an international hack.

Re: Unknown error
Same problem. MailWasher no longer can connect to server. When I click on Check Mail, it does nothing. I use Thunderbird as my email client & Gmail as my email client. I have no problem accessing my mail with Thunderbird directly but can no longer get it using MailWasher.
