Re: Stuck at "Evaluating Message"
It happened again this morning.
At the moment I have what looks like a major collision of issues. This shows what I mean on the status bar:

MW2010 is set to run an automatic check every 10 minutes. You'll see that it has already over run that without doing another check.
It also claims to be "Idle" but the activity thing on the left is animated, showing that it is trying to do something.
At the same time, the "Clean Mail" button is not available.
I forced a new check ,manually. Once again it got stuck at Processing.
As far as I can tell, the log tells me nothing about this particular issue, but I may not know how to read it properly.
Oh yes, one more thing, it is not obeying my customised sound settings.

Got it. Switch off FirstAlert in the Spam Tools and see if that makes a different. It appears as though FirstAlert isn't disconnecting, and an account check isn't completing.
Programmer is looking at this now too.
Cheers

Done.
Now it will probably be at least a day before anything dodgy turns up!
Then again, from your answer, maybe that isn't the problem.

Re: Stuck at "Evaluating Message"
I don't see any issues today, and the autodelete fired so that looks all sweet. You could either switch off Firstalert as we do know there can be a problem there till we fix that, or send me the logs next time it happens. Or doing both is probably a smart idea

Re: Stuck at "Evaluating Message"
Hi
I assume the last post was for me. It has just done it again so I have sent the logs again to Chris (2) and this is the relevant part of the screen dump after about 3 minutes. Pressing Stop started everything again.

This looks the same where FirstAlert is causing this, under under Settings >> Spam Tools >> FirstAlert >> disable this until we can work out what's going wrong. Programmer is looking at this now

Re: Stuck at "Evaluating Message"
Hi
Thanks for the really quick response. I have to compliment Firetrust in the level and speed of response to problems. This is so refreshing nowadays.
I will turn First Alert off for a short while just to see if it does make the difference but to be honest with the amount of spam I receive on al 12 accounts I use I would prefer to stick with a slightly problematic situation which works a lot of the time rather than have to manually select the spam every time.

Hopefully you'll find the Classification/Bayesian kick into gear really soon. Should at least minimise the pain of the clicks.
Will let you know when we think we have this issue sorted.
