You'll find your November 2009 Newsletter here but there's no option to subscribe to Firetrusts Newsletter..
Apparently, your company uses another company called Mailchimp to deliver your Newsletters to your subscribed customers and clients..
Add that subscription feature on the front page and on the Newsletter page and Bob's your uncle..

Firetrust has been begging for beta testers for over two years now and not very many folks stepped up to help. I did my part and MW works great on my computers, most of the other beta testers have gotten their glitches either fixed or in the to-do queue.
Re: SPAMCOP Report and First Alert
I blame you for the poor testing... :-)ecoca wrote:My question is why did you sell product that was not tested enough ? Do you have good beta-testers ? The old version is better than the new one. It is very strange for me and I don't understand at all. You did this just for money ?

Then there is the fact that the first attempt at solving that one caused even more problems than it solved.
Much as I admire your fortitude in adversity, you have to admit that the first paid for release of MW2010, which, anticipating a properly tested and functioning product, I unwisely coughed up for at the very beginning, has been, how should we put it, problematic, a word that I use only when I am trying to take the piss.
Re: SPAMCOP Report and First Alert
Er, how does this deal with the fact that using FirstAlert causes MW to hang for too many people? And that this led to the advice to turn it off?rusticdog wrote:No, it was that users reports were unreliable and often meant FirstAlert blocked too many good newsletters. We found a better mechanism other than users to keep FirstAlert populated and have spent hundreds of hours fine tuning the system so it no longer requires any user reports.ecoca wrote:I don't think that FirstAlert not working at all (the report option is not present) is due to the millions of possible configuration. It's simply bad management !

I have a copy somewhere of my "cease and desist" response to that sort of guff.
Re: SPAMCOP Report and First Alert
Be careful. The old newsletter used to be a vehicle for Mailwasher to try to peddle third party software.Kevan wrote: I'd much prefer a dedicated newsletter which gets sent out a few times a year, say quarterly and in sepcial circumstances when the company communicates the fact they have a new product or upgrade for a particular product and a link where that upgrade can be downloaded from..

You can manage your subscriptions there after it emails you a link. Don't close your browser after entering in the email address either, otherwise the link emailed to you won't work.

Lacks ease of use and functionality
I am sorry I paid for 2010, it lacks spamcop, lacks the ability to display headers as far as I can see, and is clumsy to use in many ways. Like having to mouse over two levels to select an action, when before we could just click a box.
Also, what is with showing the same email twice? It displays each email retrieved on two lines, clicking either shows the same preview.
Its almost amusing, but seriously, MailWasher Pro pre-2010 worked extremely well, why did you throw the baby out with the washwater?
Somehow making it look more like Windows Live while reducing the functionality and ease of use seems very.... Microsoftite. Shame on you Firetrust!

Headers can be obtained from the preview pane (Ctrl-F6) or the preview window (Double click an email):privateer3 wrote:lacks the ability to display headers as far as I can see

Re: SPAMCOP Report and First Alert
The "old" version is just that. The spammers have gotten way more sophisticated and new technology is required to keep up with them.

Re: SPAMCOP Report and First Alert
I'd not be overly concerned about the 'First alert' functionality - however, hope that the SpamCop reporting' is not delayed any more (other fixes notwithstanding.)
