I believe the only criteria for triggering a Test is that relevant setting must be changed and saved, however if there is a check or another test still in progress I don't think the Test will fire. You can also jump straight to the Inbox which prompts you to Save and no Test would be triggered here also.epack wrote:1. While setting up my VERY numerous accounts, sometimes it would do a test server connection when I entered/changed a password, but not all the time. This is a GOOD thingbut I dunno how to make it do that every time I add/change one, other than upon a general/specific account incoming check. Doing it in the config is much more elegant
Lastly MailWasher stores the last working setup, and I do recall it does have some logic in there that might stop a Test from being fired if MailWasher thinks the account details are correct (and have previously worked)....something like that anyway, I don't seem to be able to get it working as I thought it did.
You can be sure that under the View menu that "Always Show Event Log" is not checked. It would only then display itself on a 'high prioirty' error. It is also a rolling log of the last 200 'events' so it will never get to an obscene size.epack wrote:2. Is there any way to filter the error log? While I know it is helpful for trouble shooting, 99.99999% of the time, all I'm interested in is if the credentials failed. Failing that, especially once the accounts are all working, can logging be turned off?
Apart from the + and - Hotkeys, there isn't a nice way to do this. If I recall the drag and drop wasn't playing very nice, which was why we removed it and stuck to buttons and key presses. I'm not really sure the best way to manage it though...maybe add a 'Move to top' and 'Move to bottom' ? MultiSelect would be nice.epack wrote:3. As mentioned above, I have a LOT of accounts, and in my old MWP I had them prefixed to help keep them in a moderately organized list. I know I can drag them up and down, but only one at a time. The window where they are listed is VERY small, and can't be sized. Is there any other way to order them more easily other than to simply edit accounts.xml? Which I did, btw. Be nice if the accounts could let me grab/select several at a time, the way windows does it.
Yeap that could do with some work, will pass on to the guys about that.epack wrote:4. The display options button is helpful, but the Zoom and Layout icons are not necessarily intuitive, especially the Layout ones. The others have an "intellisense" functionality where you can at least hover and see what they are, but not those two. Since hitting reset changes it immediately, I don't necessarily want to do that, since I might not be able to get it back to where it was.
The Suggest site isn't get much of a look in right now, we're all spread pretty thin right now.
