Did you uninstall from Control Panel > Programs > Programs and Features > MailWasherPro
and then reinstall from something like C:\ProgramData\Firetrust\updates\Update712119\mailwasher_pro_setup_7_12_119.exe
or is more required to preserve the Settings?
If you want to ensure you keep your settings, I personally backup the Firetrust folder in %APPDATA%. Open Windows file explorer, type %APPDATA% into the address bar at the top and press Enter - this should take you to the roaming appdata folder, containing the Firetrust folder that you should backup. When I do system reinstalls, I just make a backup of this folder and restore it on my new install - this has always worked for me.

Relieved to see many others having the problem. I have a iPad I can check emails on so I'd rather wait for a official fix rather than change the clock.

Same problem. Changing the computer date/time to an earlier computer date fixed the problem.

I paid for this program and I want it to work, but not to find a solution on my own. Let the programmers come to their senses and fix it.

Downgrading worked for me, as well v7.12.125 works fine... I don't know what got changed in 7.12.173, but it seems to not like dates after 11/10.

If it is time/clock-related it has to be on Firetrust's side, the clocks changed here in Ireland weeks ago and it had no effect on Mailwasher until today.

Same for me here. Mailwasher started giving me this error on any account (existing or recreated). It is as if something blocks it from accessing the outside world but neither the antivirus nor the wiindows firewall seem to be the blockers.
Uninstalled, reinstalled, but nothing managed to make version 7.12.173 work again (it has been working every day without problems until now).
Installed version 7.12.125, reimported the accounts and everything looks fine again.

It didn't exactly work - I have to click on everything manually & when I open the email it downloads everything - even the stuff marked for delete!!
Re: An unknown error has occurred. MailWasher is unable to determine the cause of this error.
I did this & it appears to have worked. Turned the date back 2 days. I'll see what happens next week. At least the noise for a received email has stopped!

Tried uninstalling/reinstalling 7.12.125 - nope.
Uninstalling/installing latest version 7.12.173 - nope
Uninstalling/installing 7.12.55 per link above - yippee!
I guess somebody's bright idea in a later version had a date vulnerability in it, shouldn't be too hard to find (speaking as a professional programmer)

Thanks for this. I was running 7.12.125 here in UK and got this error at startup around 10:00 GMT today and ever since.Stefan1959 wrote: ↑Sun Nov 12, 2023 7:09 pmInstall a older version fixes it untill the lastest one gets fixed.

Each to their own, but I'm holding off to allow Firetrust a chance to sort it. I see no point in faffing with uninstalling and installing older versions along with importing everything again only to have to install the current version once fixed.

Add me to the list of those affected and waiting for a fix from Firetrust
