Hallo folkes,

my Laptop (XP SP3) - no workload - needs more than 30 seconds to startup.
Can this process be accelerated? If YES -> How to do?

Are you starting MWP when Windows starts?

When I was using an average powered laptop, I used to see this issue. Slower startups in MWP are caused mostly by the contents of cache in your Crypto folder. I now purge my cache periodically (as I do not employ learning) and have been enjoying a swifter startup and shutdown, as well.

@Sidewinder - I start MWP separately from Windows start to avoid a peak workload when booting

(Click) Help >>----> (in the Explorer window that opens up, click) User Files... >>----> cache >>----> crypto >>----> (a lot of cached files get accumulated within this directory over a period of time. Deleting these files improves the startup speed, but also causes all Spam learning to be reset.)

@Trustfire - Thx it helped savin 5 Secs.

You might also want to take a look at your security software it may be causing part of the problem. Also if you have the MWP setting to do the Check Mail when it starts try removing that option and then when MWP finishes loading either wait for the next timed check or manually trigger a Check Mail.
