Mailwasher Updates

Mon Mar 04, 2013 11:01 pm

I notice that there have been no new updates for months. Has the development of Mailwasher pro 2012 stopped?

Development is still ongoing but they are concentrating more towards the mobile app at the moment, there have been a few beta versions but they also have slowed down.

Seems a pity that Mailwasher pro 2012 is being left behind in favor of the mobile version

Not being left behind at all.
The next release should be oput shortly and will coincide with the announcement/release of the mobile version.
The new release has been modified to enable synchronizing the desktop and mobile versions.
Both have been undergoing beta testing.

It's more as a timing issue, the new version has Mobile related features so ideally we want to release both at roughly the same time.
But of course these features in the new MailWasher that also relate to Mobile also took their time as well, which is what set things back a bit.

Not far, we're just fixing up some last issues related to synchronisation and then I think we're good to go.

I was just going to look for another product that has more updates and attention to their product and knowing that you have not had one update or bug fix for over 9 months is a little troubling.
and too boot we have to pay every year for a subscription.

Agreed, 9 months isn't acceptable. We bit off more than we could chew trying to get the mobile and desktop versions of MailWasher playing nicely together.

I have been beta testing the updated version and it is working fine. They are cleaning up a few items but I expect it will be released shortly. The mobile version is also nearly complete in beta test. I use it every day on my iPad. The desktop and mobile versions sync accounts, friends and black lists to make the setup a breeze.

How would one become a beta tester? Is it by volunteer or by appointment?

Doesn't help to PM me since I am just a retired old fart in Arizona, a long swim from Christchurch New Zealand and Firetrust. :-)

I sure would like the opportunity to Beta test Mailwasher Pro. I am a Beta tester for Symantec, so I do have experience! Thank you!
