I've contacted our CCleaner team again who has confirmed this as an issue and said that they will have this fixed in the next version of our software, which will be released around April 25th.
Hmmmmmm, they haven't acknowledged the email about my movie.
MWP on Win7 SP-1 x64 (English) on two Lenovo S20s (a Xeon X5675 w/18gb RAM and a Xeon x5670 w/12gb RAM; the same OS is also on 3 laptops). I also have MWP on two Win 10 x64 machines (German) and one with XP Pro-SP3 32-bit (English).

It may appear a bit illogical that I've said the folder named "Copy of MailWasher" is the "original", but this is
correct and reflects how my brain works. :crazy

Anyway, it does indeed appear that CCleaner has been fixed / reined in / rendered less dangerous / whatever,
unless you happen to need your log files from yesterday.

I've got plenty of disk space. I'm still gonna leave MWP unchecked.

@ schnief

Thanks for confirming - was unable to do that, myself as I'm running custom rule-sets for MWP that never fail to work. :D

Check the wonders a custom rule-set can perform on the size of the MWP User Files:-

Other than saving space, does it do anything useful?

Yep, if the rules are tailor-made for all the program & applications - it does make them swift and more importantly cleans up a lot of personable traces from the system.

As far as MWP is concerned, I personally do not use the cloud features - this allows me the privilege of creating rules to clean the Crypto directory, too (leading to the weight-loss depicted in the figure above.) My MWP does perform admirably faster.

Oh! This sounds good.

I know it's been discussed several times, but my mind's a sieve: what do those thousands of crypto files do ... besides take up space?

Thanks.

The cached files are stored in the Crypto.

Cleaning up the Crypto would mean losing out on some contents of the emails that were cached.

After looking at how my systems perform overall, I've decided I'm fine the way things are. I've also decided to buy a new Ferrari and drive it around rather than fool around with custom settings for MWP.

I've just done a bit of rocket science: I've let the new (4.02.4115) version of CCleaner have its way with my MWP (licensed version) profile. Of course I backed up my original first.

This is what it wiped out.

Do I need any of this stuff?

Thanks.
