Only when you need to send the logs to FT for analysis. Not a great idea.schnief wrote:I've just done a bit of rocket science: I've let the new (4.02.4115) version of CCleaner have its way with my MWP (licensed version) profile. Ummm, what's not "a great idea": letting CCleaner delete these files or sending log files to Chris?Sidewinder wrote:... Not a great idea.

Re: A note to people who use CCleaner
Given that MailWasher cleans it's own log files (keeps a rolling 3 day history) there's probably no need to have CCleaner do this. But if you did have some kind of problem in MailWasher, then CCleaner ran, we'd potentially lose visibility of what happened. Not a biggy though.

Re: A note to people who use CCleaner
My CCleaner is configured with custom rules to delete all those logs - however, it's not set to delete Regex.txt (the last entry on schnief's screenshot - have not yet had the opportunity to experiment with that one.)

Re: A note to people who use CCleaner
It's a file that I think MW creates when it compresses and encodes the filters for the main engine. Once it's sent through it doesn't have a purpose, it would recreat on each restart or filter save I expect.TrustFire wrote:My CCleaner is configured with custom rules to delete all those logs - however, it's not set to delete Regex.txt (the last entry on schnief's screenshot - have not yet had the opportunity to experiment with that one.)

Well, it's exactly where it's supposed to be >>----> under the Internet menu, in the Applications tab.
Since you're running the latest version - no harm in ticking (enabling) MWP.
