MWP has stopped working

I have MWP 2012 and it has stopped working. I have the latest release of MWP and TB 17.0.5 and had been working up until last night. I have 2 mail accounts but had not checked them for 2 days. There are 234 emails to be washed but when I hit the wash icon, it immediately triggers the triangle icon flashing red that there is an 'unknown error'. Nothing has changed in the 2 days I wasn't on the computer and this is the first time this has happened. Any thoughts or fixes for this? :help

Two things to try.
First go to Settings, Accounts, highlight the account with the problem, Incoming Tab, Advanced Pull Down Arrow and Uncheck the Pipelining option for Deleting Mail. Repeat for each Account.

Second go to the Control Panel, Programs, select MWP and do a Repair function.

Are you by chance a user of CCleaner?

Also if the above doesn't work post the details show for the error.

Well, I performed the tasks you recommended and it worked perfectly! Both accts are now working as is MWP.

Thanks SO much for your input. I've come to depend on this program to get rid of the garbage that it's a panic when it didn't work.

BTW, I DID see the post about CC Cleaner and immediately did the fix for that also!
