When I do "restore" from the recycle bin the Error log shows :
"Restore mail request" followed by "Unknown error" followed by "Restore Mail complete".
When then do a "Check mail" the item is sometimes restored OK, but sometimes it or any attachments are corrupt.

Re: "Unknown error" on Restore
MailWasher only downloads a portion of each email, and when you restore, it restores what it has. If MailWasher hasn't downloaded enough of the email, you will get the corruption problems.
You can fix this to some extent by adjusting the Spam Throttle setting. Go to Settings, General, Checking Mail and set the Spam Throttle to 300 or 500 lines. This probably won't work for attachments, since most of the time these are going to be pretty large, and so will extend beyond the 300 or 500 lines. You'll need to get these resent.
For the unknown error, check that your outgoing mail settings are correct. If that doesn't fix it, it will be better to send a set of logs to Firetrust. You can find the setting for this under Help.

RE: Errors
You can also specify a Fallback Account to use to Restore for the account that you are getting an error from. Some providers don't allow Restore. Go to Settings, Recycle Bin and specify an alternate. GMail works fine for me.

Re: "Unknown error" on Restore
I have the same problem but it has a strange twist to it. When I select the deleted message, click on Restore, it doesn't restore it to the MW Inbox, but it does restore it to my Gmail inbox. If I try to have MW check my Gmail account, it doesn't show up in MW inbox or my email client. It used to do this but now anymore.

If you can send me some logs. First try to restore a message, then go Help >> Send Support Logs >> enter a brief note like 'gmail no restore' >> in the Ticket number field enter chris >> Send Logs >> reply back here once sent, so I can confirm the logs arrived all OK.
Cheers
