Just one little error, under the POP outgoing settings you have "Next click on Outgoing and enter data seen below.
SMTP server address: smtp.mail.yahoo.com
Server Port Number: 465"
but the image shows the gmail smtp address.

I wouldn't dismiss pop3 as outdated. For many email providers it's handy because it can automatically delete emails from the server once you have downloaded them to your PC. For the permantly hacker-prone yahoo, bt-internet (uses yahoo mail servers) and hotmail, this can be an important security measure.

I dont know much about the (technical) difference between IMAP and POP3.
So if someone wants, you can put reply below this message.

Heads-up:—

• ATM, IMAP isn't working great for Yahoo — hopefully, it's just a temporary glitch.

You can try searching the forum for such trivia — plenty of graphic illustrations are available.

The best way that I have found to use Yahoo! is to set up an app password for MailWasher - see https://au.help.yahoo.com/kb/account/ge ... 15241.html

I'm not sure if it makes any difference, but I also use IMAP rather than POP3.
