Add to blacklist flags spoofed address instead of sender's address

In my opinion, there's a problem with the 'add to blacklist' function. I receive a spoofed spam message and want to blacklist the sender. I know it's a spoofed message because MailWasher is showing me the real sender's address along with the spoofed address. If I choose 'Add sender to blacklist' or 'Add domain to blacklist' then it's the spoofed address or domain that's added, when what I want is to block the spammer. Since you know who sent the message, why don't you blacklist the actual sender?

Can you clarify what you mean by MailWasher is showing the real sender and the spoofed address ?

Yeah! Because that would be a neat trick if any spam blocker could show the real sender's address. If that were possible, spam would almost go away completely as the major blacklist organizations, ISPs and email providers could quickly blacklist the real senders and block all the spam at the source!

Malware distributed via spam and other malicious emails would almost completely vanish!

The "bounce" feature might actually become useful!

Sorry mfrie01 but if it were possible to determine the real sender's address, spoofing would not be an effective tool for the spammers.
