crypto folder files

[Mark VIII LSC]

In my C:\Users\Owner\AppData\Roaming\Firetrust\MailWasher\cache\crypto folder, I have 2,180 files. I have a few questions about this...

1) What is the purpose of these files?
2) Can they be Zipped to save disk space (except for the most recent one)?
3) What function within MW creates these files?

0001 File - Is a Recycled or Cached Message
0002 File - Is extra message information for quick access
0004 File - Is extra information stored on a message when deleted
0005 File - I've forgotten what these are
0010 File - Are messages trained as Spam
0011 File - Are messages trained as Good


MailWasher though does keep it's own maintenance for these files, I would strongly discourage any kind of direct interaction.

Instead you can look at :

Reduce # of days to store delete mail : Settings >> Recycle Bin >> Settings.
Disable Account Caching : Settings >> Accounts >> Incoming >> uncheck Store cached email

Rusticdog: I just looked at my crypto folder files and was horrified to see that so far TODAY 110 entries have been made of my 14389 total entries - THIS CANNOT BE ALLOWED TO CONTINUE!
Please let me know which files I should retain so that I can delete the others.

MailWasher has routine cleanups.

Check the settings :
Reduce # of days to store deleted mail : Settings >> Recycle Bin >> Settings.
Disable Account Caching for all accounts : Settings >> Accounts >> Incoming >> uncheck Store cached email

You can reset your Learning under Settings >> Spam Tools >> Learning Settings >> Reset Learning. Though this will wipe what emails have been trained as good and bad.
