Why can't MailWasher blacklist the real address, not the spoofed address?

Sat Dec 22, 2018 7:27 am

I receive emails from people I know where their address is spoofed, but the real sending address is clearly visible to MailWasher. This is from the Email Header:
From: Maria VanCuran (mvancuran@ncgllc.com> <administracion@aviajes.com)
Return Path: <administracion@aviajes.com>
From Domain: aviajes.com

MailWasher won't blacklist this email even when I have the aviajes.com domain blacklisted, because it thinks the email comes from an @ncgllc.com email, which I have as a friend.

The is clearly something that could be fixed. Any reason why not?

For list matching, I'm assuming MailWasher is picking the first address in the FROM. I'll add this to the list to look into, though it will be low down in prioirty, so I would suggest you create a Custom Filter that looks in the FROM field for aviajes.com
