I have installed Mailwasher on my laptop, as part of the process of moving away from my old tower PC.
I am receiving emails from my two accounts, but the "Wash Mail" is only deleting those I have checked for deletion, it is not opening my "Mail Program".
If I click on "Mail Program it does not open.
Any ideas please ?

Re: New install problems.
Under Settings >> General >> Washing Mail >> you should be able to select your email program there.
If it's Outlook that came pre-installed, then repairing the Outlook install should fix the issue of Outlook not showing.
This link has details how to do that depending on version https://www.companionlink.com/support/k ... 2013,_2016

As usual rusticdog is kind enough to compensate for my inadequacies.
Once again, I thank him for the many years he has been doing this.

Re: New install problems.
Sir, I have another small problem.
My two email accounts are in Mailwasher, one is btinternet.com and the other is gmail.com.
Mail for Windows is my mail programme and after Mailwasher has washed the mail it opens the Mail for Windows programme, but the btinternet.com mail never arrives there. The gmail.com mail does.
Once again I appreciate your patience.

The BT Internet account is setup in Windows Mail ?
If you click the Gear/Settings icon >> select Manage Accounts >> it will list the accounts, with an Add Account option if it's not yet added.
If it is, then click on the account in the Manage Accounts window >> re-enter your password to be sure it's correct >> then select Change Mailbox Sync Settings >> scroll down click Advanced Mailbox Settings >> check the server address, SSL settings match what BT Internet requires >> click Done >> Save.

One remaining issue, Mailwasher washes my mail, opens the Mail program , but does not auto remove the emails back in Mailwasher, I have to manually delete them.

One option would be to try using IMAP in MailWasher which you can set under Settings >> Accounts >> Incoming >> change the server type at the top. If your Mail app also uses IMAP, then messages you Read in the Mail app will be flagged, and MailWasher does not load these by default using IMAP. Although downloaded messages would remain, it would lessen the volume.
You could look at other mail programs, ThunderBird is generally the closest mail program to what you might be used to https://www.thunderbird.net/en-US/
If the accounts get setup in ThunderBird as POP accounts, you can set the option to delete emails from the server after download.
Re: New install problems.
OK, this unfortunately is something the Mail app does, as it does not have the option to remove messages from the server after download, which is what you will be used to. The emails remain on the server and so MailWasher will continue to see them.
