I have enabled less secure applications in Google but MWP is still not able to download from Gmail.
I tried changing settings to no avail.
What have I missed?

Re: Still can't get Gmail
We've had a handful of folk who seem to run into this issue. So you are not alone.
You've set Less Secure Apps here https://myaccount.google.com/lesssecureapps
Check POP and IMAP have access to the account here https://mail.google.com/mail/u/0/#settings/fwdandpop
Check 2 Factor Authentication status. https://myaccount.google.com/security
If this is ON, then create an APP Password
Failing those, is trying to change the password an option ? If so, try changing that, https://support.google.com/accounts/answer/41078
See if it gives things a kick.

Re: Still can't get Gmail
I am having the very same problem with a number of my gmail accounts (I check a large number of them. Don't ask . I have compared the MWP 7.12.6 settings to others that work uneventfully, and they are the same, and they all work fine in my email client (Pandora, a brand new Eudora clone with the old bugs fixed). They HAD been working in MWP until just the last week or two, and I have not made any changes to them either in MWP or the account settings.
I have noticed in recent months that the App password thing is now required at times (not sure why, but I do it when prompted). The 4 accounts that are not working were not one of them. They are all set up the same, as POP, my preference, with IMAP disabled, less secure access enabled, etc etc.
Since the messages do come into my client, it's not a deal breaker, but I sure would like to know why they are being flagged.
TIA

Re: Still can't get Gmail
Try removing an account from MailWasher that isn't working >> restart the program >> add the account back.
Creating an App password should only be needed when 2 Factor is enabled on the account.
Previously (before 7.12.6) MailWasher was using OAUTH which is different again, that's where you'd see a popup asking you to logon to the Google account and provide MailWasher access. It's this last system that we removed, which is why the Less Secure Apps must be enabled at https://myaccount.google.com/lesssecureapps for each of the accounts.
