This must have been asked before but I could not find a please make a Linux version.
So here goes.
I saw you have a Linux version of MailWasher Server.
Please make a Linux Version of MailWasher Pro
This is the only reason I have not switched to Linux full time.
Don't get me wrong I'm also a Win 10 fan

Please no flame wars on Linux or Win 10
And if you like the Idea let them know by posting here you would like a Linux Version

Thanks
Mitch

Hi Mitch

We've always wanted to, but things never worked out that way. A rewrite would be required for much of MW Pro, and given our history and current progress with MailWasher I don't think it likely.

There are some very old Linux versions of MailWasher, feel free to give them a try. I couldn't say if they work with modern Linux, they are over 10 years old from an attempt to have a native MailWasher. The 'other' version is the most generic, with some specific builds done.

Also MailWasher 6.3 works with Wine if I recall.

SuSe

Linspire

Kubuntu 6.04

Kubuntu 6.10

Xandros

Other

If you do find one that works that you want to use, just let me know and I'll flick you a license, no need to pay for such an old program as we can't bug fix these either.

Cheers

Thank you for an honest answer. If you did have a Linux version for home use I'm sure it would be very popular given the way the spammers are today. if I get another I hacked your email blah blah blah again I'm going to scream LOL

MailWasher 6.3 or earlier ought to run OK. Something we did in 6.4 and later broke things.

The new MailWasher 7.x makes very heavy use of the WPF Framework, which isn't Wine friendly at all unfortunately.

So, isn't there some other provide that makes an alternative for MailWasher just for Linux?

You know, a prog that allows one to see what mail is on their email server without having to download it?

Running wine 5 on Linux Mint (the Ubuntu version), kernel 5.9, 6.5.4 seems to work well. I tried later versions, still, from time to time, but it looks up a lot (for instance, typing a userid in the new account dialog is somewhat impossible). It's visual thing, and possibly with the installing of a .NET framework, or a DLL override, it could work, but Codeweavers (usually a reasonable indication of what can be done), isn't too optimistic.

On 6.5.4, invoking the linux mail program is not something I've done, not sure if you can, but you would need to go through the winebrowser command. But out of the box on Wine 5, 32bits, it works well for me and 6.5.4.

Hey there! I came across your post and noticed that you were asking for a Linux version of MailWasher Pro. I can understand why you would want that! Although I'm not gonna take sides in the Linux vs. Windows debate. By the way, have you heard about the CentOS 7 End of Life Support issue?
Yes Why?
